General Area:
The Island groups around Luzon Island include the Batanes in the far North, the Catanduanes near Legaspi in the south-east, Masbate and Marinduque and Mindoro.
Puerto Galera:
The bustling Sabang Beach area is the center of entertainment in definitely caters towards the more all around vacationer. The quieter Small La Laguna Beaches provide a more amicable environment, though still in close proximity to the action of the Sabang Beach area, Small and Big La Laguna are perfect for those interested in a more relaxed Puerto Galera vacation. Set amongst the idyllic beaches are several excellent resorts, restaurants and bars.

Money: Rural Bank in Puerto Galera to change cash & TC's.

Coming & Going:
AIR: Air Philippines and Asian Spirit fly to San Jose (in the south of the island) daily.

LAND:
Bus & Ferry: Tickets at the bus station in St Cruz , Manila (P60). It will take you about three hours to reach the town of Batangas.From there you travel with the supercat for about two hours directly to Puerto town (7 daily) .From here you can make your choice,either Sabang or White beach resort, by jeepney.
San Jose to Puerto Galera by bus/jeepney is several hops, Bulalacao-Roxas-Calapan, more than 8 hours total.
Ferry also to Calapan (5 daily). Si-Kat ferry co. runs an aircon coach from the Centrepoint Hotel in Manila to Puerto Galaera (P300).

Getting Around: Jeepneys run from Puerto Galera to the main beaches. An outrigger boat goes to Sabang (half hour, P150).
Batanes Island:
Very quiet and undeveloped. Basco is the main town.
Coming & Going: from Manila, Laoag International flies to Basco on Tuesday & Friday.
Catanduanes Island:
Quiet non-tourist island with good beaches and waterfalls. Main town is Virac.
