Boracay Island:
Boracay is made up of small local communities: Yapak in the north, Balabag in the middle, and Manocmanoc in the south. Hilly elevations up to 100 meters above sea level characterise Yapak and Manocmanoc. Intertwining trails link the small villages together but many sometimes lead to lush tropical jungles. Electricity and public transportation remain relatively scarce. A small gem of an island with good beaches, it has become flooded by resorts and tourists but maintains its unique identity. About 9 km long.
Tourist Office in Manggayad town. Allied Bank changes money and TC's. White Beach area has over 100 resorts of different types.
Bohol Island:
The main city is Tagbilaran, a short ferry ride from Cebu City. A quiet old town with churches and beaches. Telephone area code is 038.

Panglao Island:
Connected to Bohol by two bridges. On the south-west coast there are twobeach resorts, Alona Beach, good for diving and the more popular, and Doljo Beach. Buses go to both beaches.
Panay Island:
A large Island still with an old Spanish feel. Boracay is off the north-west tip. In Kalibo city, the Ati-Atihan festival in January is very big time. Iloilo City is the capital of Iloilo Province and the biggest on the island, it has the Dinagyang Festival in January.

Romblon Island Group:
Comprising Romblon, Tablas, Sibuyan and others. Romblon town is the main centre on Romblon Island. Spanish forts and cathedrals are a feature. Tablas is the biggest Island, with airport.

5 times a week on Asian Spirit to Tugdan, Tablas Island.
BOAT.
Romblon to/from Manila twice a week.
to/from Lucerna (Luzon Island) regularly.
to/from Magdiwan (Sibuyan Island) regularly.
to/from Masbate, Mindoro and Panay are less regular.
Tablas to/from San Agustin to Romblon town.
Odiongon to/from Batangas (Luzon Island), Roxas (Mindoro Island).
