Coming & Going: Koh Phi Phi
From Krabi, about 4 boats each day go to Phi Phi Don (B125, 2 hours: B150, 1 hour on the faster boat) these run regularly from November to May.
Other times are variable because of the monsoon season.

From Ao Nang (west of Krabi): daily boats (B150) from October-May.

From Phuket: ferries leave the Port of Phuket (Makham Bay) at 8:30 am and 1:30 pm daily (B300-450, 1.5 hours).

Also ferries from some ports near Siray Island.From Phi Phi to Krabi, ferries leave at 9am, 10am & 2 pm.

From Phi Phi to Phuket at 8:45am & 2:30pm.

Krabi - Phuket: aircon buses go both ways regularly between 7am and 6:30 pm daily (B100, 4 hours).
Koh Phi Phi Don is the larger and the developed island.
Two kilometres north of Phi Phi Le , the larger island ( 28 square kilometres) it has a curving white and palm-fringed beach with a mountainous interior. This, and other minor beaches, offer beach side bungalow and chalet accommodation.

The area immediately adjacent to a Muslim fishing village contains bars offering living music, restaurants specializing in popular European cuisine and Thai food, cabarets, souvenir shops, dive shops and charter boat operations offering game fishing excursions and day trips,
including several opportunities for snorkeling, around the major islands,
including Ko Paid ( Bamboo island ), half an hour from Phi Phi Don and touted by locals as one of the most beautiful and unspoiled, uninhabited islands in the area.

Phi Phi Le is tiny and uninhabited, its the home of the swiftlets who nest in the caves. Licensed collectors of these nests protect the island from development.

Nearby:
Muh Koh Lanta Marine National Park, 1 hour and 30 minutes east by daily boat from Phi Phi Don,
comprises many islands, several fringed with spectacular coral reefs.

The major island, Koh Lanta, is increasingly favored by those who seek idyllic peace and tranquillity. Resort accommodation is available on the northwestern coastline.
The 26- kilometre-long island, from 4 to 6 kilometres wide, contains many unspoiled beaches with golden sands and rugged headlands. The park office on the southern extremity of the island, and accessible only by boat,
is situated near the homes of local Andaman Sea itinerants known as Chao Lay, or sea gypsies, who sustain themselves largely by fishing, particularly for crustaceans.
